SILENCE YOUR INNER CRITIC

A 4-Week Nervous System-Centered Healing Circle for Black Women Unlearning Negative Self-Talk and Rebuilding Self-Worth

Facilitated by Marissa Price, MSW

Live Sessions Begin Sunday, January 11th
We will meet every Sunday for 4 consecutive Sundays at 3PM ET/12PM PT on Zoom for guided healing, reflection, and community support.
Come as you are—camera optional, no pressure to speak, just a safe space to heal and be.

You don’t have to keep criticizing yourself—there's another way.

The voice that says “You’re too sensitive,” “You’re not doing enough,” or “You always get it wrong” isn’t your intuition—it’s an internalized survival response, not the truth of who you are. Over time, that voice lives in the nervous system, shaping how you relate to yourself.Silence Your Inner Critic is a 4-week live group healing program for Black women ready to release self-doubt, shame, and over-functioning by working where these patterns live: the nervous system. Through gentle, somatic, and trauma-aware practices, you’ll rebuild internal safety, self-trust, and compassion.Whether you’re leaving a toxic job, healing from burnout, or tired of overriding yourself to survive, this space isn’t about fixing you. It’s a soft landing—a place to help your nervous system learn something new and begin relating to yourself with care, in community.

    This isn’t just mindset work—it’s nervous-system-centered soul work. 💫

Inside this 4-week healing circle, you won’t be asked to push, perform, or “think positively.” Instead, you’ll be supported to gently unlearn what never belonged to you and rebuild trust from the inside out.Together, we’ll:
    - Identify where your inner critic actually came from—including family dynamics, toxic work environments, and internalized messaging that taught you to doubt yourself
    - Release overworking and self-abandonment patterns that keep you exhausted, unseen, and under-celebrated- Reconnect with your true voice—one rooted in clarity, confidence, and self-respect- Practice nervous system regulation to interrupt spirals of self-judgment and self-criticism in real time- Create simple rituals of self-trust and emotional safety you can return to long after the program ends- Be witnessed and supported in community by Black women who understand your lived experience and are walking a similar pathThis is a space to soften, reorient, and remember who you are beneath the critic—together.

    What You'll Gain Each Week

Week 1: Where Did This Voice Come From?
Reclaiming Your Story from the Inner Critic
In Week 1, we will gently uncover where your inner critic actually came from—without judgment or self-blame. You’ll explore how family systems, workplaces, and survival-based environments shaped the way you learned to speak to yourself.Instead of seeing the critic as a personal flaw, you’ll begin to understand it as a learned response—and start separating it from your true voice.Outcome:
✨ You’ll gain clarity and relief by understanding why the critic formed—so shame loosens and self-trust can begin.
    Week 2: Reclaim the Pause
    Creating Space from the Critic
✨ Special Guest: Marissa Tolliver, Artist & Healing FacilitatorWeek 2 focuses on creating distance from the inner critic so it no longer feels fused with your identity.Through a gentle, expressive art practice led by guest facilitator Marissa Tolliver, you’ll externalize the critic and experience what it feels like to pause instead of spiraling. No art experience is needed—this is about nervous system regulation, not performance.Outcome:
✨ You’ll learn how to interrupt automatic self-judgment and create space between you and the critic in real time.
    Week 3: Rewrite the Script
    Speaking to Yourself with Compassion
With more space and awareness, Week 3 is about reshaping your inner dialogue in ways that actually feel safe and believable.Rather than forcing affirmations, you’ll practice nervous-system-aware compassion—learning how to speak to yourself with honesty, steadiness, and care when things feel hard.Outcome:
✨ You’ll begin responding to yourself with compassion instead of criticism, even in moments of stress or uncertainty.
    Week 4: Boundaries and Belonging
Becoming a Safe Space for Yourself
The final week brings everything together through boundaries—not as walls, but as self-protection and self-trust.You’ll explore how to recognize your limits, honor your needs without guilt, and offer yourself the safety and belonging you may not have consistently received from others.Outcome:
✨ You’ll leave with a felt sense of internal safety and clearer boundaries that support you beyond the program.

    What My 1:1 Clients Say

"It took me so long to trust someone with my personal history and specific vulnerabilities. It was time for me to seek support on my journey to self-care. I was looking for someone who was gentle, non-judgmental, and understanding of our history in this country and how it has, and continues to, impact Black women today. I had listened to Marissa at the Exodus Summit and visited her website. I took the leap, and I am so glad I did."
    - Tuesday
"My interactions with Marissa have been validating and healing. She is excellent with describing the toxic experiences and the harmful impacts. She also helped me to steer away from blame and shame and instead to focus on the systemic oppressive structures.
Marissa truly examines how oppressive structures devalue, discard, dehumanize, and use black women with no regard for our humanity and well-being. Marissa is an amazing healer and brilliant thinker. After identifying the problem and the harm, Marissa also shares healing tools such as journaling, joining community with like-minded black women, and also taking back your power by removing yourself from the situation. Thank you Marissa for showing up your authentic self and helping others to do the same. Much appreciated."
